Keep your work with you on the go. The built-in file browser lets you easily view, download, and share your documents and spreadsheets or even edit them with OnlyOffice online.
Adding your domain to CraneMail gets you a copy of eM Client at no additional charge. Your license can be used on up to 3 devices (Windows/Mac) with full access to the eM Client paid/premium features.
eM Client is regarded as one of, if not, the best desktop mail clients and a fantastic alternative to Outlook - and it's been built to closely integrate with the underlying software for CraneMail. Learn more about eM Client here.
No - we do not allow marketing emails or any type of bulk mail. Even if it's double/triple/quadruple opt-in. CraneMail is for business/personal mail and light transactional mail (signups, password reset notifications, etc).
We closely monitor spam complaints, bounce rates, and have filtering outbound relays to catch spam and bulk mail.
Yes! We have a demo server available here: demo.crane.email
Some features, like the ability to send emails, are disabled to prevent abuse.
All CraneMail plans are available our US-West (Las Vegas, NV) and EU (Amsterdam, NL) datacenters.
During checkout there is a toggle to select the location you'd like your plan to be deployed in.
Keep in mind there is not an easy way to migrate data between locations after the fact, and we will not assist with these types of location changes.
Our current limit is 600 emails per hour, per domain, to external senders. We reserve the right to cap or change this limit if deemed necessary.
If you are sending legitimate mail and bumping into this limit you can ticket our support department to request an increase.
We've increased limits for legitimate business mail senders, open source projects, etc. We evaluate these requests on a case-by-case basis after some account history has been established.
At the moment our largest plans listed for sale are 10TB, but if you truly want something bigger we can definitely make it happen. Ticket our sales department with your storage needs and they'll be happy to provide pricing and generate an order for you.
Lifetime plans are services available for a one-time payment, there's no monthly/annual ongoing fee attached. Lifetime refers to the lifetime of the business.
We invest funds raised from lifetime plans for future, large capital expenditures (replacing server hardware, drives) and maintaining the service over the long term.
Lifetime pricing will slowly increase over time as plans are sold so we're not too heavily weighted towards one-time vs ongoing monthly/annual payments.
Per our terms of service, Lifetime plans are not eligible for refunds of any sort. If that kind of commitment makes you uncomfortable please stick to the monthly/annual plans.
If you're within your first 30 days of purchase of a standard-type plan (monthly/annual/etc billing) you can ticket our Sales department to request an upgrade to a Lifetime plan.
We will generate a custom invoice for the difference between the value of remaining time left on your plan and the size of Lifetime plan you want to upgrade to.
Yes, you can upgrade/stack lifetime plans at any time in the future - however, the pricing you pay for the upgrade will be the current pricing at that point in time, most likely higher than your original order.
Lifetime pricing slowly increases over time to ensure we're balancing lifetime vs month/annual/etc revenue to keep the deal sustainable.
No, we do not offer lifetime reseller plans as the support overhead of resellers would be unsustainable with a lifetime plan.
We do offer discounts on longer billing cycles (annual/biennial/triennial billing), so that's a good way to get a discount on your reseller plan.
No, we do not allow reselling on the Lifetime plans.
While we may not be able to stop every instance of reselling, the Standard and Lifetime plans lack a lot of the features a reseller would need/want - such as the ability to limit storage use per domain and white labeling features.
Abuse complaints are also treated differently - a user caught spamming on a Lifetime plan can result in all domains in that account being suspended.
