1. What your request must include (ICANN-required)
- Who you are - requestor identity and contact details;
- Your authority - any authorization or power of attorney, where you act on another's behalf;
- What you want - the specific domain(s) and exact data elements;
- Why - your legal rights, rationale, and legal basis;
- Intended use - what you'll use the data for, and confirmation it will be used only for that stated purpose.
2. How we handle it
- We acknowledge a properly-formed request within 2 business days.
- We respond without undue delay and no later than 30 calendar days from acknowledgement, absent exceptional circumstances, balancing your legitimate interests against the data subject's rights and applicable law (including GDPR).
- Urgent requests (imminent threat to life, serious bodily harm, critical infrastructure, or child exploitation) use the shortened timeline added to the Policy on 12 May 2026 - mark the request urgent and describe the threat.
- We log every disclosure request and our response (RDP ยง11.2).
3. Legal process, abuse, and law enforcement
Subpoenas, court orders, and other formal legal process go to legal@namecrane.com, not this form. DNS Abuse reports go to our Abuse page. Law-enforcement emergencies: use the 24/7 contact there.
